OTTAWA — This March Break, children aged 4 to 12 are invited to dive into a week of discovery and fun at Ottawa Public Library (OPL). From March 16–21, close to 100 free activities will take place at library branches in both English and French, ranging from arts and technology to games and creative play.
Under the theme of Curious Creatures, kids will explore nature’s wonders, uncover science mysteries, and enjoy hands-on learning that sparks curiosity, builds critical thinking, and sharpens skills—all while having fun.

Parents and guardians can now register for March break activities. Featured activities include:
Discover Animals and Insects, Big and Small: Interactive and accessible programs for all ages!
Explore Imaginary and Mythological Creatures: Let your imagination fly and run wild!
LEGO® programs: Full of fun building challenges and activities
Arts and Craft programs: Create, design and learn; all materials will be supplied
STEAM programs: Experiment how creatures build and adapt using science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics!
Dungeons & Dragons: Interactive storytelling adventures that bring characters to life
Magic, Puppets, Dance, and Music programs: Feel the rhythm and movement through literacy.
Library cards are required to secure participation. Those without a card can apply online or at an OPL branch.
Visiting a branch during March Break is also a great way for families to join creative workshops and interactive storytimes, pick up books to support reading routines, and explore resources and tools for children of all ages and interests.
