Closure Labour Day – September 7
All Ottawa Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, September 7 for Labour Day. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, September 8.
Greenboro Branch: Parking Lot Partially Unavailable as of Tuesday, Sept 22

Hunt Club lending machines will be discontinued
The lending machines at Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre have reached the end of their service life and will be removed. Holds pick-up lockers and materials return bin remain available. Carlington Bookmobile
Starting Sept 9, services move to Carlington Community Health Centre, 900 Merivale, Wednesdays 3-4 pm.
Carlington Bookmobile stop temporarily relocating
Starting September 9, library services currently provided at the Carlington Bookmobile stop will temporarily relocate to the Carlington Community Health Centre (900 Merivale Road) due to construction at the Alexander Community Centre.
Service will be provided indoors in the Birmingham Room on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Holds pickup will continue through Bookmobile Carlington stop. Only the service address is changing.

Reduction of Parking Spaces at Vanier Branch
From the end of March to December 2026, a City project will temporarily reduce the number of parking spots at the Vanier branch. Visitors are encouraged to use street parking or nearby alternatives.
Aside from construction noise and limited parking, the Vanier branch’s operations will continue as usual. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Alta Vista Branch: Window Replacement – Starting April 3
Window replacement work will begin April 3 and is expected to continue until the end of July. The branch will remain open throughout the project.
Construction noise and odours may occur during this time. Some areas inside the branch may be temporarily modified or inaccessible as work progresses.
