About the Branch
Designed by architect Hans Stutz, this octagonal-shaped library opened in October 1967. The original 1,900 square foot building has undergone two octagonal additions, in 1970 and 1974, adding a meeting room and basement to the Library.
This branch has a Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA) used book store.
The Centennial branch has a long-standing commitment to providing quality children's programs and one of the longest running adult book clubs in the system.
